Grow your fan base

As Shepherd grows, we're making it easier for you to collect, grow, and tap into your fan base. This is my biggest frustration with Goodreads—and I am going to work my ass off to make it better for authors.

What have we built toward this goal?

Nothing yet, as we need to get more of the building blocks in place so we can start working toward this goal. What is in place?

• We added user accounts in 2024, which we need for this step.
• We used user accounts to start collecting readers' 3 favorite reads of the year in 2024, which will feed into this work in the future.

What is coming next?

We need to build and launch our full app for readers that will bring their TBR piles to life (plus simple book logging). Once this is in place, it will allow us to track fans of authors and start looking at how we
