More publicity for trending books
When your book has that magical spark with readers, we help that momentum grow—not just to support your book, but to help more readers discover new books and authors they will love.
What have we built toward this goal?
Readers' Favorite Reads Of The Year
This feature launched in 2023 and is an annual event. It delivers a big burst of publicity for authors with a book that readers pick during the holiday season and after.
The only way a book is featured on this page is if a reader shares it as one of their 3 favorite reads of the year (something authors and readers can take part in).
Using this feature, readers can browse the top reads of the year or the top published reads of the year. And they can dive deep into different genres and other breakdowns.

What is coming next?
A massive upgrade for our bookshelves.
Click the link to get a full breakdown with screenshots from our roadmap. This is a giant expansion for our bookshelves which group books by genre, topic, and age group.
- We will add a section showing the best books of all time and breaking them down by type, decade, and more. Readers really want this, and I don't want to fight it. At the same time, I hope to use our breakdowns to encourage them to explore further.
- We will add a section for trending books. It will update every month with the most mentioned books within that category.
- We will add a section for the best new books (new = the last 3 years). And have similar exploration points as the section for the best books of all time.
This is a big step in helping to increase publicity for authors with books that are trending with readers. We will learn and keep evolving this section as we grow 😄.
What else?
- For 2025, I am looking at upgrading the Readers' Favorite Reads Of The Year program to match you with readers like you (those who share your Book DNA) and nicely pitch individual lists that match your Book DNA. I am also keeping a close eye on how we are helping less famous authors who are starting to trend; I don't want this to be a list only full of the most well-known authors.
